How to Apply for a Tropical Biology Scholarship:

  1. Write a 250-word essay explaining why you want to join and how this program will improve your teaching.
  2. Submit a letter of recommendation from your department chair or science supervisor.
  3. Agree to participate and share in creating videos or presentations to inspire others about your experience.

How will the winners be announced?

The winning educators will be notified via email shortly after the application deadline, April 30th, 2025.

How many winners will be selected?

Two winners will be chosen from online applications submitted by the deadline. Decisions of the selection committee are final and not subject to appeal.

Who can enter?

This opportunity is open to high school biology teachers who:

  • Have a passion for inquiry-based and experiential learning
  • Are interested in bringing real-world science into the classroom
  • Meet the eligibility requirements outlined in the application
