What is a Quantile measure?
A Quantile measure is a numerical representation of a student's mathematical ability. With Quantile measures, it's possible to connect students to standards and resources that are at their level as well as assess their college and career readiness. In some states, it's possible to use Quantile measures to estimate performance on state assessments.

WestEd is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization, whose work is rooted in data, informed by research, and committed to equity. They have worked at the local, state, and national levels, providing research and evaluation for a wide range of clients and partners including the Smarter Balanced Assessment. This partnership provides Savvas with the benefit of an independent, highly-respected third party that ensures the assessments are unbiased and equitable.

How did WestEd nationally norm the Diagnostic Assessment?
The norm referencing occurred from the National Field Testing, which took place in January 2021. Field test data was then used to assist WestEd the norm referencing. The sample was weighted to match the demographic profile of students nationally.

Can educators export and share Momentum Math data?
Within Momentum Math, the Realize Reports feature allows administrators to export data via email, SFTP, or Google Drive™ for easy collaboration. You can even schedule recurring exports — daily, weekly, or monthly — to reduce the time spent on manual data pulls.
