The Framework provides a roadmap that delineates how our curriculum fosters positive academic outcomes by supporting our teachers and engaging students through their lived experiences. Our curriculum offers strategies and opportunities designed to honor all student voices, that allow students to learn from each other, and that develop the skills students need to succeed in the world around them.
Giving Back Through Corporate Social Responsibility
We care about the educators, students, and school communities we serve. We want them to thrive. Providing the highest-quality instructional materials so that all students have consistent access to rigorous, standards-aligned curriculum is at the heart of what we do. But it doesn’t stop there. We are committed to doing more by giving back. Through our corporate social responsibility initiatives, Savvas is helping impact the lives of students in underserved communities with efforts to close the “degree divide,” improve reading skills, and enhance their schools. Here are some of the things we do to support students, families, and
- Chapter One — We believe that learning starts with literacy, and mastering this key foundational skill puts students on a path to success. Through our partnership with Chapter One, a nonprofit pairing volunteers with first-graders via online reading sessions, Savvas employees help developing readers from underserved communities improve their reading skills and boost their reading enthusiasm.
- Savvas Scholarship Program — We launched the Savvas Scholarship Program in 2021 to help students from low-income backgrounds achieve their dreams of attending college. Each year, the program awards students a total of $50,000 each to use toward tuition to a four-year college.
- Savvas Volunteer Day — Integral to our culture at Savvas is a spirit of caring and giving back. As part of a company-wide effort, Savvas employees across the country partner with local school communities to make an impact. Our volunteer efforts include restoring neglected courtyards, revitalizing gardens, powerwashing exterior walls, painting stairwells and offices, and helping teachers get classroom supplies organized for the upcoming school year.
